The theoretical and practical analysis presented in this article confirms the relevance of the processes of Russian higher education internationalization and the success of the implementation of strategic tasks within the framework of the Concept of Humanitarian Policy of the Russian Federation and other government projects aimed at strengthening Russian cultural and intellectual influence in the world. At the same time, the authors reveal specific problems of an organizational and communicative nature, that accompany the processes of internationalization of Russian higher education, using the example of one of the leading faculties of Moscow University. The article uses the results of a sociological study conducted among Chinese master’s degree students at the School of Public Administration of Moscow State University, as well as practical data from the authors’ experience in organizing educational and administrative work with students from the People’s Republic of China. The research methods were: theoretical methods — analysis of scientific literature on the research problem; content analysis of regulations and teaching materials in the field of higher education; empirical methods — questionnaire survey; interpretive methods — comparative and level analysis of research results; statistical methods — descriptive statistics method. The results allowed forming specific practical recommendations for managing the educational strategy for students from the PRC in the context of current internationalization processes (admissions campaign strategy, changes in the curriculum, attracting additional human resources, social measures, etc.).
